  1. Are you a Christian School & Daycare?

Absolutely! Christ is at the core of our values.  Everything we do revolves around Him.  From praying & caring for our children, to singing songs of praise & Bible lessons, you will hear Christ & His teachings echoed.

  1. Can I see your latest inspection licensing reports?

Precious Life Learning Center is licensed and regularly inspected by the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services (DFPS).  We post our latest inspection reports on our Need to Know Bulletin Board for everyone to see, per DFPS regulations.  You can also ask our office personnel to view our inspection and licensing reports, or visit our page on the Texas DFPS website.

  1. Will my child always have the same teacher/caregiver?

Teachers & caregivers will be assigned to a specific classroom of children to allow them to build a solid relationship with their students.  However, the director & our part-time caregivers will also cover certain hours of instruction & care (such as nap times) to allow regular caregivers their breaks.  This means that while your child will see one consistent teacher, they will also have other familiar faces during sections of their day.

  1. What parental/guardian involvement is necessary?

We know that you, the parents/guardians, are the most important factor in the long-term outcome of your child’s future.  This is why we do not neglect in keeping open communication with you & work directly with you so that we together can direct your kids to both a thriving relationship with Christ & your loved ones.  From periodic workshops, newsletters, and parent-teacher conferences, we seek to walk side-by-side with you & your family.

  1. How do I apply for NCI?

To apply for NCI, contact your local Texas Workforce Solutions office, or visit their website by going to Texas Workforce.

  1. What are your hours?

Childcare:               Monday-Friday 7:30AM-5:30PM (Regular)  and   6:30AM-6:30PM (Extended)
Office Hours:         Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM

  1. What is the supply list for each classroom?

If your child is not yet potty-trained, parents/guardians must provide diapers & wipes. Every child, Pre-K & under, must bring a change of clothes in a gallon-size Ziploc bag in case of accidents, and a sandwich-size Ziploc bag with mini-toothpaste & brush, both marked with their names. Clearly marked water bottles & baseball caps are needed for outdoors.  In addition, a list of needed classroom-specific supplies is provided upon enrollment.

  1. What if my child is sick?

We care about the health of all of our little ones!  Therefore, if a child has symptoms of illness, we will ask parents/guardians to take them home until they are better, or have a doctor’s note recommending re-entry.

  1. Will breakfast & lunch be provided?

We offer breakfast ($1) & lunch ($2) for a combination of just $3 per child a day ($65 per month). We strive to provide healthy and balanced meals in accordance with Texas DFPS Standards for the children in our care. Menus are posted on our bulletin board and are sent home to parents. However, if you do not wish to purchase meals from us, parents/guardians are more than welcome to send a packed lunch with their children. Please note, due to Texas DFPS Standards, we are forbidden from refrigerating or heating any food that you may send with your children, so please be sure to pack a lunch that does not require heating or refrigeration. 

  1. How can I make suggestions or share my concerns?

We love our families and welcome your feedback and suggestions. Use our Contact Us page to tell us what we’re doing right or what else you would like to see us doing!  We take all parents’/guardians’ ideas in prayerful consideration!
